Darling Moda: Sunday Ballad

Posted on James Lontoc

We settle down and I’m easy like Sunday morning. I look at the curves of her body—how she makes it easy for that lingerie to do its job—and I believe peace on Earth can be achieved with no more but a backwards lean from this woman.

She turns and walks towards her room stripping off her cumbersome armor of cotton. Clothes drop on the floor along with my jaw. I try to collect myself. Emphasis on “try.”

She looks back at me with those eyes and I look back at every good thing I’ve done in my life wondering what deed entailed this as a reward.

I learned today that happiness has an name.
